Dicyclopentadiene (abbreviated DCPD), also widely known as dimeric cyclopentadiene, is a dimeric compound carefully synthesized by the famous Diels-Alder reaction between cyclopentadiene molecules. This unique chemical structure gives DCPD two important isomers: inner and outer, each of which exhibits its own unique physical and chemical properties.
